A little help.
Back to curiosity.
Answers about stories, listening and the places around you. Let’s get you back to exploring.

Getting started
How do I find a story?
In the app, use your current location or search for an address, then choose a story to read or hear. Start with a place you know, or a street name you have always wondered about.
For a quick introduction without installing anything, open the website’s Willow Bend reading sample.
A new story is not loading. What should I try?
Check your internet connection, then try again after a short pause. If a location error appears, check the location steps below or search for an address instead.
If it keeps happening, note the message you see and the steps that led to it. You can prepare a problem report without sharing your exact location.
Can I get Street Stories on Android?
Android is coming soon. There is no Android download link on this site yet. The current app is for iPhone.
Listening & audio
A story is playing, but I cannot hear it.
While playback is active, raise the iPhone’s media volume. Check whether the sound is going to connected headphones, a speaker or your car rather than the phone.
Try playback again while the app is open. Apple explains how media volume works on iPhone.
Can I read instead of listen?
Yes. Stories can be read on screen as well as heard. Choose whichever suits the moment. Pause to read when you are on foot; drivers should keep their attention on the road.
What about listening in the car?
Choose and start your listening session while parked. Keep your phone mounted and your eyes on the road; drivers should not handle the phone or wear headphones while driving.
The dashboard in our illustrations is a listening concept. It does not confirm native CarPlay availability. Read about stories for the road.
Location & places
Street Stories cannot access my location.
On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Check that Location Services is on, then review Street Stories’ permission. An app appears in that list after it has requested access.
You remain in control of the permission. You can also search for an address in the app. Apple’s Location Services guide explains the available settings.
The place or address seems wrong.
Check the address before starting another story. Location can be less accurate around tall buildings or indoors. If the current place is wrong, search for the intended address instead.
If a story itself is about the wrong place, use its feedback controls and describe the mismatch. A general place name is enough for an initial problem report.
Stories & feedback
A story has an incorrect fact. How do I report it?
Use the thumbs-down control on the story in the app. Choose the issue and add a short explanation if you can. If you have a reliable source, mention it in the note.
Stories are written by AI and can get names, dates and details wrong. Check anything important against a reliable source; the app is a starting point for curiosity, not a verified reference.
Can I explore stories with children?
The family-outing idea is about noticing details and asking questions together. Read or listen with your child and choose what is appropriate for them. AI-generated stories can contain mistakes; the illustrations do not imply an age rating or a child-safety certification.
Using this website
Why is the website story preview silent?
The sample player is a silent reading preview. Its play control moves through the sample stories; it does not produce audio. The actual app’s listening experience is separate.
Does this website need my location?
No. The website samples do not request or read your position. Willow Bend and its sample stories are fictional. The real street-history examples on the homepage link to their sources.
